Here's a new shot of Danni Mathews as a dead ringer for Marilyn. Danni will be appearing soon on the Joan Rivers Show.

Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery and I am so flattered by dear Danni Mathews' tribute to me. Danni, who is a rising drag star in the hot Liverpool club scene, did up in a gorgeous vintage cocktail dress and hit the clubs as Mamie. Danni is one of my special friends from my Dreambook forum. You can read all the latest from Danni and the rest of my dreamers here.

Good Luck Lakers!

My dear friend and favorite Laker, the incomparable Kareem Abdul Jabar. Kareem has just written a new book with Anthony Walton called Brothers In Arms about the 761st Tank Batallion. Though well known as a Hall of Fame basketball star, Kareem is also a fine historian. (The link goes to Amazon.com) This shot was taken at the Playboy Mansion Midsummer Night's Dream Party. GO LAKERS!
One of my Very Important Friends

These four shots are some new ones (03.06.04) from Kevin Nagel who is serving in Afganistan. This is an Afgan convenience store.

Here are some of the shops in downtown Mezar-e-Sharif.

SSG Kevin Nagel and crew ready for R & R.

A shot of handsome SSG Kevin Nagel, a friend of mine serving in Afganistan. These shots were taken while Kevin was on operations in MeZar-e-Sharif. Here he's standing guard while the soldiers buy some items in town.

A crowd gathered to see the U.S. troops.

Tanks turned in by the local warlords.

Artillery pieces turned in by the warlords.

Here are some weapons turned in by a warlord in the area.

Kevin's holding an AK-47 belonging to the Afgan who took the picture. Stay safe, Kevin!

A new V.I.F. in the person of SSG Kevin Nagel, stationed in Uzbekistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Kevin sent me holiday greetings with these photos of his handsome self. Sorry that's not my lip print on his cheek, but it would be if I could be there. He's got dreamy brown eyes.

Have a safe, happy holiday Kevin! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your fellow soldiers.

Sadly, Bobby Hatfield (left) of the Righteous Brothers passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2003. I have known Bobby and his partner, Bill Medley, for more than forty years. We met in Hollywood shortly after their first hit, and have been pals ever since. There couldn't be two nicer guys in the world. This picture was taken a couple years ago in Las Vegas when I flew in for their opening. I'll be attending services next week with the rest of his friends here in Orange County.
